Mother's Day is a big deal in Peru. On Friday, there were no classes. Instead, the kids at Colegio San Lucas presented a 3 hour program to honor mothers! There is a short video at the bottom.
First, a couple of the moms helped raise the Peruvian flag. |
Then there was a service officiated by Padre Juan Carlos. Padre Juan Marcos and Vicar Daniel were also there. |
A couple of the older kids did the opening dance. |
Diego Armando (on the left) getting ready for his part. |
Rosa Maria in full swing. |
Yasmin looks like she's having fun! |
Tamara and Isela getting ready to perform. |

Padre Juan Carlos goofing off with a gorilla. |
Waldir dancing with his grade. |
And finally, a special thank you to moms. You can see Pamela on the far right and Isela in the back. |
This is a video of one of the traditional Peruvian dances performed by the kids. Tamara, Pamela and Isela are in this one.
